Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to make a print?
Prints from an edition that is in stock are dispatched within three working days. A custom motif takes two to four weeks, because I have to wait for suitable weather — a sun print cannot be made in an overcast week.
How do I care for the print?
Do not hang the print in direct sunlight and avoid damp rooms. Behind glass in a frame the colour will hold for decades. Dust it with a dry soft cloth, never a damp one.
Why do individual pieces differ?
Because the sun decides the result and it behaves differently every day. The shade of blue, the sharpness of the edges and a fine grain change from sheet to sheet. This is a handmade sun printing technique, known formally as cyanotype, and that unpredictability is exactly what makes it appealing.
What formats are available?
The gallery offers the A4 format (210 × 297 mm). Larger A3 and A2 formats are made to order — write to me through the inquiry form and we will agree on the motif and the price.
How does payment work?
You can pay by card or by bank transfer. For a transfer I send the payment instructions in a separate e-mail right after the order. Prices on the site are final, including VAT, and are shown in Czech koruna, euro or US dollar according to your choice.
How long does delivery take?
Within the Czech Republic usually two working days, within the European Union five to ten, outside Europe ten to twenty. All shipments are tracked and sent flat in a rigid envelope with a cardboard stiffener, not in a tube — so the print arrives flat.
What if the parcel does not arrive?
Write to me and I will trace the parcel by its tracking number. If it is lost I will send a replacement piece from the same edition, and if none is left I will refund the full amount including shipping.
Is the frame included?
It is not. Photographs in a frame are illustrative only; I ship the print itself. The A4 format fits commonly available frames.
